Hornsby Shire calls itself the Gateway to the Bushland Shire, and the demolition work reflects that. We cover the LGA from Hornsby and Asquith through to Berowra, Mount Colah, Mount Kuring-gai, Cherrybrook, Galston, Arcadia and Dural. Conditions vary wildly across these suburbs: tight, steep blocks in Hornsby Heights; bush-block acreage in Arcadia; heritage-leaning streets in Normanhurst and Wahroonga.

Hornsby work brings its own complications. A large portion of the LGA sits inside designated bushfire-prone zones (BAL 19 through to BAL FZ), often backing onto Berowra Valley National Park or Ku-ring-gai Chase. That means careful management of debris, sparks, hot work and machinery placement, particularly through the warmer months. We hold off on grinding and torch work during fire bans and have spark-arrested equipment available where required.

Steep driveways and treed properties limit access on many Hornsby blocks. We have excavators sized for awkward sites: 3.5-tonne machines for tight 2-metre side accesses, larger units for clear blocks. Tree Preservation Orders are common in Hornsby Shire, particularly in Berowra and Mount Colah, and we navigate the TPO process and protect retained trees during demolition.
