Toongabbie sits between Blacktown and Parramatta. There is a quirk here that catches plenty of homeowners out: the suburb crosses two council boundaries, with Blacktown City Council handling the northern side and Cumberland Council the southern. CDC applications are slightly different on each side, and we check the title to confirm which applies before quoting.

Historically, Toongabbie is significant. It was the site of Australia's first Government Farm, established in 1791 (the Sergeant Toongabbie reserve still has heritage protection). The original township developed alongside the railway from the 1880s. Most of the current housing stock dates from the 1950s through 1980s: brick veneer and fibro homes, often with bonded asbestos in roof, eaves and outbuildings.

The 2146 postcode also covers Old Toongabbie, Wentworthville and Pendle Hill. Same housing stock characteristics, same asbestos profile, same demolition demand. Our Seven Hills depot is 10 minutes away, which keeps response times short and travel costs sensible.
